Help Us Grow
The Help Us Grow! Committee was formed by the Board of Directors of the Gibbs Care Center to develop some ideas about how to continue the community’s support of our facility. Although contributions, both large and small, have come in over the years, there really hasn’t been an organized, planned campaign since the 1970s.
The committee met and brainstormed ideas about what we wanted to accomplish and how to proceed. Since the Gibbs Therapy Center was being much discussed, supporting this new construction effort was a logical near term goal.
We developed a brochure to explain Gibbs, our history, our accomplishments and our plans and shared this with many in and around the community who probably know Gibbs, but might not fully realize our capabilities or our ambitions. We also purchased a donor tree to display by the front door to properly thank all those in the community who have given so much to Gibbs, both our facility and our people.

Gibbs Care Center is licensed by the State of Missouri and approved for Medicare and Medicaid services. As a 501 c(3), non-profit corporation, operated by a volunteer community board, all funds are reinvested in improving our services and facilities. All donations are tax deductible.
The support of the Help Us Grow! effort has been fantastic and the accompanying comments have been very rewarding. The committee and the board are now making plans to utilize these funds for the development of an outdoor courtyard area between the existing north wing and the Therapy Center. This is approximately 5000 square feet where residents and visitors will be able to enjoy the outdoors and the scenery, while being in a safe and secure environment. Plans are still being discussed for what we will be able to accomplish after the construction of the Therapy Center is completed and winter sets in. Other decorating niceties are also being contemplated for the residents with these donations. After all, we continually strive to make Gibbs as comfortable and as close to home as possible.
